Working with brides is always exciting and helping them dream up their perfect dress is a wonderful process. This bride insisted on having a two piece gown and envisioned using linen for her skirt and some combination of high end silks for her bodice. It evolved into hand appliqued, Chantilly lace over Dupioni silk with details of ostrich feather and Swarovski crystals over one shoulder. Each of the three layers of gauze-weight linen were hand dyed to achieve the several shades of blush, peach and sand that the bride requested.
